New MMF2 Example

Just tonight Clickteam Moderator and extension developer Andos has released a pretty cool example of how to make a pseudo 3D flag in MMF2. Being a graphical example it can be adapted and most probably used in many kinds of games.

It's not often examples are posted as news, and with such active forums on Clickteam many gems like these can become ignored or easily missed.

Galaxia Chronicles Released!

After what seems like a life time, Newton Renato DePaoli ,creator of Galaxia Chronicles (formerly known as The ION Adventures) has released his game!

Flash Game: Gravqx

I guess you could say this is more of a reminder than news. A few weeks ago during the Flash testing, Clickteam Moderator David Newton (DavidN) made this well presented and somewhat challenging race against the clock racing game, Gravqx.

Players must finish the tracks as quickly as possible, moving over the checkpoint lines and avoiding the walls. This is a lot trickier than it sounds, but the game is still a very good example of what can be achieved with the Flash runtime.

GB Highscore Board Templates Update

A small new feature was added to the scoreboards system.

Now when you submit a score it will send you back the rank of that score to display to the player.

The submit score template .mfa has been modified and updated with this feature.
Also some typos and grammatical errors have been fixed in both the score submit and top score retreival templates.

New Addition To High Score Boards

We have decided to allow you to retrieve scores from your score boards and display them in-game!

A new template mfa has been added and can be downloaded from your "My Score Boards" Panel for immediate use!

In order to incentivize the continued use of the Gamebuilder public Score Boards you can only retrieve the top 10 scores. Please also include a button to the public board on the Gamebuilder site in your game as well (already included in template. just add your public board url in the specific event).

Also, the templates have been updated to be Java and Flash runtime compatible by using flash and java compatible extensions!
(Note: Java doesnt seem to be very friendly with our online boards. we're waiting on the string parser java version to be fixed, and vitalize to be added to java.)

Just if you didn't notice, because of long timing Flash boom that Wake - the new game from authors of Lunnye Devitsy and Satan Sam - is out.

BREAKING NEWS: MMF2 Flash Runtime has been released!

After months of rumors and various flash MMF games popping up all over the place, the Flash Runtime for MMF2 is finally about to be released in the next couple minutes!!!

EDIT: It's official! Flash for MMF2 has been released and will cost $69.
