Update to The Underside

Boopie

ThePodunkian has graduated and thus can set his focus once again on The Underside! He has released a new demo which you can download HERE

For those who don't know, The Underside is a story driven, exploration platformer. The game is a copy of heavily inspired by Cave Story. In the game, the world is going to be destroyed unless one pure sole can be found. The story telling in this game is very sarcastic and humorous. I think it's worth your download.

Note:
Vista users run this in windows 95 mode, otherwise you'll have problems.

New Service: MFA Repository

The team from Aquadasoft have been hard at work on a repository for MFA files. Users can upload examples and other files for clickers to download. A very useful place to visit and share programming skills and methods!

The Service is still in beta mode, so there may still be some bugs to look out for, aswell as new features in the not so distant future. To Quote Aquadasoft's Villy:

"Here are some future plans:
* Search ( Search all the files, so if you want to find something made by Jeff, you would search for Jeff and check it to only search authors)
* Rating ( star system )
* Design improvements ( Better overview when you view MFA files )
* API to connect with MFA repo
* Password protection for files and time before the file gets deleted"

Turning the Tide Demo released.

Clicker Steve Harris has just released the demo of his long awaited game Turning the Tide. Set in World War 2, the side scrolling action-shooter uses graphics by our very own Hayo Van Reek and music by Swedish clicker and musician Johan Harge. Hayo also made a small amount of music for the game. The game itself was started on 22nd January 2005, and uses fullscreen HWA to handle the explosion effects. Welldone to Steve for getting this far, it must feel like a great relief to complete such a project! Click here to get the demo of Turning the Tide.

Death From Above Trailer.

Kisguri has just this minute released the latest trailer for Gamesare's Death From Above game.

To quote the game description:

"You homeland has been invaded by a aggressive neighboring Military dictatorship, Returning from a scheduled sea exercise your fleet group arrives too late to stem the attack. As one of the few remaining homeland guard pilots, you must drive the enemy out of our country and reclaim the land for your people!"

As ever, a very proffesional and promising looking game from Gamesare Studios.

Happy 25th Birthday, Tetris.

tetrys_scr1.gifThe famous game of falling blocks turns 25 on Saturday! Since its original release in June 1984 on the IBM computer, Tetris has been made available on the GameBoy, The PC, countless mobile devices and the Nintendo DS. Tetris defined the video game industry during it's early years and along with Super Mario Brothers and Pong, Tetris is a classic video game that sparked many people's love for video games and will never be forgotten.

In honor of the anniversary, I dug up an old klik-remake of Tetris, released in March 2007, by Projekt Siedem.
