Wow i really suck at donkey kong. i also dont think it uses the same scoring as the real donkey kong. controls could be a bit more precise as well. so far so good. nice addition to the arcade and nice use of highscore board! :D

I've just started getting the hang of it. :) Great game!

Judging from the scoreboard I wouldn't say you suck, because you're currently number 1 on the scoreboard!! :D

Also, I just updated the game, so if you played this game before 4/27/2010
you will have to clear your cookies to see the changes.

in this update I fixed some bugs and increased mario's jump height to make the game a little easier. :D

Seems pretty genuine :) I can't remember if the original allowed you to climb ladders from a jump or not, but I think I prefer it this way regardless...

Nice! it's a little buggy, but cool anyway.

NO!!!! i must get the number 1 score again!

It's easy once you get the hang of it. Do the levels change now or no?

My two friends and I played this all through science class... if you would've given it mochiads you might've gotten some money (although might've gotten sued too xD )

Also how did you do the barrel rolling?

"(although might've gotten sued too )"

how? thats legally impossible. its a freely available game. making money off ads IN it is not legal grounds for a suit. the most they can do is order a cease and desist.

He said it. I quoted it basically.

>_>

Idk.

I think I would get sued because, I'm using graphics, music, and sounds, from a game that doesn't belong to me and if they found out I was profiting from them materials they could sue me.

Also,

As you increase in levels the level design stays the same, but the rate at which Donkey Kong throws barrels increases.

I made the barrels roll by using set x position and set y positions if not overlapping a backdrop

youre not making a profit from the game though. youre profiting from the ads. theres no legal grounds to be sued.

Epic game! I don't think you can be sued if the game itself is not making any money. If you had no ads (which aren't part of the game) then you wouldn't get any money. Therefore you aren't taking money from the original creators, and I think that would be the reason that they would sue you anyway.

You can get sued no matter what you do in life.

Deal with it.

You make interesting points, but I think I'll just stay on the safe side and not put any ads in the game.

CURSE YOU TECHVISION!!!!!!

Hehe...

Sorry about that Cecil.

I think you still could get sued, or at least in some kind of trouble.
I remember I got that ad offer on YouTube, but couldn't do it because my video featured copyrighted music. The video itself wasn't profitting, but putting ads on the side would be using the appeal for the video to profit. This game uses the original graphics and concept and name to attract views and an audience, so placing ads on it wouldn't be legal.

Where do you get these graphics?

Mario jr.'s picture

There is lots of graphics online that you can download. try mfgg.com, their website is all about Mario stuff. if you wanted the graphics in Multimedia Fusion 2(I know you use) you will have to find the sprites, and copy them into an active object. green
