Fangame is a very difficult platformer designed for people who appreciate a serious challenge. Most people get frustrated quickly and give up, but if you are patient and persistent, you will learn to love it. A game like this is an acquired taste!

While playing the game, if you encounter black blocks with a red X in them, that means that I have not yet developed areas of the game and the blocks are meant to keep you out of those unfinished areas.
[SHIFT] jumps/doublejumps (it is vital you learn how to perform a doublejump well)
Arrow keys move the character.
When you get the gun, Z will shoot. You can aim up.
Please note that this is a BETA and therefore not all graphics/sounds may be finished. Many of the backgrounds have not yet been drawn.

I love it
I've been sick all week, sorry I haven't been helping out too much lately vertigo. Just wanted to say you'd better do some research or something on the Whomp (or whatever its called - the thing that falls on you in Mario) to see if you could use it without penalty - I'm pretty sure that if its your own graphic that mimics it then its ok, but its best to get approval just in case.
I really don't think it's going to be a problem... Kayin didn't have any issues using characters like Mike Tyson, Dracula, Mother Brain, and many other elements when he created IWBTG.

Great game. You had me playing for a while. But are you supposed to fly and go through walls when you hold ctrl?
Yes, there are special beta controls used for testing and debugging. CTRL activates noclip. They won't be in the final release.

NOCLIP:
Hold the CTRL key and you can use the arrow keys to move Jonny around the level safely and quickly. You can also click the mouse (while holding CTRL) to place him in a specific spot. Release CTRL to return to normal.
Save Anywhere:
You can press the HOME key to save the game at any location, just as if you had a save point there. Be careful where you save, though.
Weaponize:
Pressing the + key (on the numpad) will automatically give Jonny the gun. Keep in mind that the gun will normally not be available until AFTER defeating the first couple of bosses, so don't expect the gun to work properly in early boss rooms.
Force Gravity Change:
Later in the game there will be a Gravity Orb that will activate the gravity panels located throughout the levels. When Jonny passes over these panels, his gravity shifts to the direction the panel is pointing. With beta controls, you can press PageUp or PageDown to forcefully shift Jonny's gravity up or down. This is fun to play with, but keep in mind that certain areas of the game are designed for a specific gravity mode, so by manually altering gravity you may run into "glitchy" areas that won't really be an issue in normal gameplay.
Show / Hide Sensors:
This option is unavailable in versions earlier than 4.18c.
The Fangame physics engine uses a number of sensors to interact with various types of objects, such as moving platforms. Jonny also is made up of several sensors that surround him at all times. Press F12 to make the sensors visible and F11 to hide them.
Coordinate Display:
While you play, the game window's title displays the x/y coordinates of Jonny's current position. If you find a specific location that is glitchy or problematic, but difficult to describe, you can use NOCLIP to place Jonny at the glitchy spot and use those coordinates to help me find the exact spot you are trying to describe.
Insta-Kill Bosses:
Pressing the Delete key during boss battles will reduce their health to 0, which should kill them instantly. (does not work for Frigid Ruins boss)
Increase Jonny's Normal* Left/Right Movement Speed: (glitchy)
(Available as of build 4.19d)
Press the "]" key to increase Jonny's speed by one. There is no limit to how much you can increase it. Press "[" to restore his speed to default, which is 3.
*Normal simply refers to whenever his speed is not being affected by other interactions, such as wall jumping, which determine his speed separately. When he's just running and jumping around "normally", his speed is "normal".

All right. I'll give it some thought.
I found 2 glitches. 1. Is the boss in Lime Punch Cave Supposed to be floating above the acid pool? 2. In the bonus room you can go through the brick at x 408 and y 1011.
1. It's okay if he floats.
2. I'm tired of telling people THE TROPHY ROOM ISN'T READY... Obviously it's not ready because you had to use noclip to get there. Well I've removed access to the trophy room and re-uploaded.
