GameBuilder Skype Chat

Thanks to everyone who participated in our skype chat tonight! Turned out pretty decent for our first try. There's some parts where the audio got choppy and also some silent areas - although I tried to edit most of that out.

This was a really fun talk. Hopefully we make it a regular thing. weekly or monthly or something.

We obviously need to organize the talks a bit more. Be more prepared, have designated seats for speakers, have topics planned out before we actually begin, and have the topics seperated by short breaks.

One of our topics was future competitions, and i think a good idea for a competition would be creating a theme song for the show, that we can fade in and out of the show with.

That was a great!

It was weird to listen to it and hear people mention Turbulent Tundra. Pretty cool through.

We should set up a time more suitable for us British guys.

since you guys are thinking about a Theme Song, I could tackle that as I am pretty interested in music.

I was resisting the urge to say KM rather than Jackson the whole time. I think I pulled through on that.

I would feel weird if people called me by my real name in audio conversations

Jess Bowers makes some good points about keeping 2D going :) I think he really makes this show.

...

No offense meant to anyone else xD

Jacob's picture

Offended? No. I agree with you :P
If he weren't talking the entire thing would be made up of greetings, awkward silences, and goodbyes.

lol thats what happens when nobody organizes anything beforehand. no one knew what to talk about or was prepared (except for jess who is apparently naturally prepared for everything xD). im prepared for the next one though!

SortaCore's picture

It's very theuraptic, although it requrires a lot of concentration to make out the words xD ...

"no one knew what to talk about or was prepared (except for jess who is apparently naturally prepared for everything xD "

...KM made the google document did he not? :O

Jacob's picture

I'd say around noon Pacific time would be good for next time. Then the European's would get it around 7-9pm

"...KM made the google document did he not? "

yeah like the day of xD. i didnt even see it until like 2 hours before hand. not enough time to prepares.

Adam's picture

How is 2 hours not enough time to prepare for a 10-15 minute show? lol

Cecil's picture

i had to eat. and we had to get everything working for the show. it was enough time to look at it and know what we were gonna talk about but not to prepare. at least not for me.
