For any of you that's played An Insect's Adventure, could you tell me some things I could improve on for my next game? I'm going to try my best to make it look more appealing to people, and the game won't be any better without any outside influence!

The graphics needs a bit more work done to them, at the moment they are very basic and repetitive. The battle system is also flawed and I found the delay between pressing the attack and it actually hurting them to be really annoying.

Don't aim for perfection- you'll miss the deadline

Okay, thanks! At the time, I wanted to do a retro-style game, which is why I didn't spend so much time on graphics, and the combat is really basic. The first one just has you hammer on the ground standing still, and holding 'attack' while jumping. However, An Insect's Adventure 2 will have lighter, more colorful graphics and a more advanced combat system based off my fighting game engine. My pic shows you an idea of what it might look like, and Bugsey WILL ride the bird shown on said pic.
