Here's the new game I've been working on. Some of the biggest problems of my game have been graphics, combat, and linearity, so I've been working on those the most. This is what An Insect's Adventure 1 looked like:
Here are some of the new game's screenshots:
The story is still undecided, but you basically have to collect the four keys to open a tunnel to defeat a monster who's eating the core of the planet. Feel free to say any comments about the game. It's about 2/3s done, and I would really apprechiate someone if they could help me make some origonal music for the game.
I'm starting to work on some of the bosses and dungeons:
The first boss is a giant robot that shoots rocket fists at you. You must deflect them with your hammer to damage him. Also, he is much harder than he looks.
Also, I took a screenshot of the options screen. Obviously, I'm gonna change the background.
The snowy area on top of a mountain. Although you can't tell from just a screenshot, the snow looks pretty cool as it lands on each backdrop.
Although there is one less item from this game than the last one, you can beat any of the 4 bosses in any order you want. On top of that, the final dungeon has 3 different paths that lead to different endings. I'm not sure wether to rush the game and finish it before school's over or to take my time to make a more quality game.
It may not have the best graphics, but the style of gameplay is quite unique and you won't find another like it.
Feel free for comments.
I'm finished with An Insect's Adventure 2- but just the meat of the game. I still have some debugging to do, and some music for the game.
I like the snow effects.
Looking good! I still need to try the original thouh...
