Lyle in Cube Sector 2

Just kidding.

It's actually a trailer for the game "FiNCK", one of Nifflas's latest puzzle platformer games, and although it seemingly shares many resemblences with Lyle, I'm sure it will be unique in it's own way.

To quote Nifflas directly from the FiNCK webpage:

"FiNCK (Fire Nuclear Crocodile Killer) is a two dimensional platformer inspired by a certain Nintendo 8-bit game I used to love as a child. Developed as an antithesis to all my previous ambitious projects that meas a lot to me, FiNCK was developed quickly, contains no story, and even its title makes no sense. I do however think that FiNCK contains some of the best gameplay in a Nifflas game, and I'm really happy with how it turned out. The game will be released on May 12."

Super Mario Bros 2, by any chance? It sure looks like it! Although I never liked SMB2, this looks pretty fun.

I think the problem with super Mario 2 was that it wasn't a Mario game. People were expecting something different than what they bought. It actually is a good game and might have been popular if it used the original doki doki panic characters.

It certainly wouldn't have been as popular as it was as a Mario game.

It does indeed look a lot like Super Mario Bros 2. But it looks like it has some more interesting puzzles. I sure hope it's free because I have no money.

Nifflas mentioned he wanted to see what it was like making a freeware game and selling expansions for it. I'm not sure if he is going to do it with this. It was brought up when he said that freeware games get publicised by word of mouth, whereas commercial games aren't near as popular and require self advertising. He wanted to see if he could get the freeware popularity to get money going on a game.

I have no idea if that is what this is, so don't quote me :P

The only thing I find similar is picking up stuff.

Oh well.

I never did beat that mario game. There was that one level that just kept on looping in the clouds...

He mentioned on his website that the release date will be pushed back a while. He says he wants two weeks to do rigorous testing and polishing before release.
