Unfortunately there is an error loading joystick2.mfx, I was actually looking forward to playing this one, it looked pretty interesting...
=(
I think we have a winner!
Great variety and good game mechanics. My only complaint is that I found the lack of new bosses/weapons after about level 8 made the game repetitive and then by level 16 I got bored and quit. I felt it was far too easy. Either the difficult needs to increase at a faster rate, or the levels need to be shortened, or some new bosses / weapons need to be introduced to ensure the game is still exciting after the 8th level.
That aside, it is a solid, well programmed game, and I enjoyed playing it.
Wow. I really like this game. Great graphics and everything is really well done. Awesome work.
:$ Thanks for the kudos, everyone. The joystick2.mfx issue comes from not having DirectX 8.0 or higher installed (or so says z33z). I only spent about 10 days total working on this, so I might go back and add more content/level balancing after the contest and host it on my site. BTW, did anyone finish all 30 levels?
No that's not right, because I have DirectX 11.0 =P
Maybe there is a compatibility problem with Windows 7? (assuming you have DX 11 on Win 7 and not Vista). I don't know but maybe that could be the issue.
Having Direct X 11.0 does NOT mean you also have Direct X 8. They are too different products altogether.
Great game!
I have direct x 9.0c and I get the same error with trying to load joystick2.mfx. Operating system is xp pro, Pentium 3.4 Ghz, 1 gig ram.
Any suggestions?
