Sanaki's Quest

This is an arcade maze game where you play as Sanaki, the 13 year old empress from Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn. Stop the senators' plot to overthrow her and save the world from Ashera's judgement and destruction.

I know... I haven't been here for a long time. This is one of several arcade maze games I've made in the last few years, I may post the rest later, though a lot of them aren't finished. Just be warned though. I'm not here to be flamed about anything you don't like about the game. Whether it be the game's graphics, cheesiness, or the fact that some of my games have my little pony and dolls in them. Please be nice. :)

The games borrows the gameplay style of the Pac-Guy/Pea-Guy series, by Astral Entertainment, and uses some source code from it. I have permission to do so...

this game had the best after texts ever. the tank "first boss" was the hardest one to fight in the entire game. i enjoyed the game =) thanks for sharing.

you're welcome, glad you liked it! Was the tank really that hard? I made it have less health at one point but even before I could beat it without getting hurt. I guess I just know it too well cause I made it. Tell me, did you play the whole thing? the final boss was the favorite thing I made in this game. and also the credits screen, on which I got rather off topic and silly...

It was a little to hard. if you gave it a few animations and made it so it didn't start in full screen you would have a great game! last place

It kinda needs to be in full screen, because some of the frames are different sizes (and the level frames are really big). And I can't draw, but I tried to animate what I could.... such as things disappearing or bosses flashing yellow... I used Game maker's sprite editor for that... :)

Couldn't you just center the camera instead of makeing it full screen?

idk, I never really tried that. It might not be too bad of an idea, but it'd maybe make things more difficult. Mostly minor things though, like when the level exit opens you might not be able to see where if its off the screen.and itd complicate boss levels, cause those are big frames too but it wouldnt make much sense for them to scroll. Just wondering though, what exactly is your problem with playing in full screen? If you didnt look at the controls file and its that you can't quit, then press Q... :)

To anyone who reads this comment Im not intending to brag, just saying it just because. But I just beat the tank without ever getting hit, he's really not that hard. You just gotta know when to turn around and shoot, and then to run. :)

Re-uploaded the game with the following updates:

Changed the dialog system so you can pass the text by pressing enter rather than having to wait for it
Changed the way Sanaki as well as most bosses flash when hit
Before, music on the maze levels would pause along with the game but ones on bosses and cutscenes would continue playing. If paused long enough, that could result in them no longer looping so they all pause along with the game now
changed the color of Sanaki's health bar
Put an option on the main menu to view the credits rather than having to beat the game

Here is what I observed that says mountain bluebird: basically gray
above and a lighter whitish kurtis gray below, with no hint of a rusty feather anywhere. The blue in the wings, rump and tail was more turquoise blue than eastern bluebird blue (Or shall I say more toward the pretty collection 2012 carolina blue than the other evil blue). I think this shows fairly well in the photos. Primary projection I would call long, but would not call bridal dresses 2012 extremely long. You can do this exercise yourself, but by the photos on
the screen primary projection seems approximately 3x bill length. Bill
was black. I could not see any yellow party dresses 2012 at the gape in the field or in
the photos. And Merrill's put it all Casual Dresses 2012 together jizz test, nothing that did not really say mountain bluebird.
