This has potential to be a very nice game, but I think the extremely simplistic graphics don't give off the vibe people like in a space shooter.
Other than the graphics, it was pretty well made. At first it seems like a slow basic shooter but then when the enemies start closing in on you, it gets pretty crazy trying to stop them! I at first didn't like the idea of having only 1 life, but it's grown on me, and I like it now. I also am not sure who the random guy who makes a monkey-like screech is and shoots at you is, but that added some life to the game. I think the powerups should come more often though, since every gamer loves powerups and the feeling of shooting 10 different guns at the same time!
Finally, I am not a fan of the quick, sharp level change. It'd be a lot smoother and more enjoyably for there to be no levels, but progressively increasing speed of enemies.
Overall: good game, I think you understand what makes a game fun and enjoyable, and I expect more from you later.
