What about
"Watching your friends fail at it"
"The awesome idea at the beginning"
"Actually being able to beat it"
and the all important
"Receiving praise for its greatness"
???
Watching your friends fail at it isn't that great, it's only great when you specifically warn them of something that will screw them up in the end, they don't listen, and it does. I've lol'd a few times from that. I'm going to hell, aren't I?
Coding I guess...
Play testing them is what I really enjoy.
But I guess coding is my favorite process leading to that because it's like a bunch of little puzzles.
I like coding something really complex, then feeling the accomplishment of having it work perfectly. Solving the "puzzles" of coding is pretty fun to me. I somewhat enjoy making graphics but only for my own games. I don't like making graphics for games that I don't know every detail of =P.
My friends stick at it for hours. It probably depends on what types of games. Puzzle games FTW!!!
Lets see... struggle at making graphics, they take a long time and bore me... coding is fun in a way, but when it gets really intense it really makes me wish I was more organized... making sounds/music I don't do, so that's not my fav... and making levels... I like making levels because I don't need a computer... so

Oh and I forgot - "Making money!!!"
Fine, then I'm making my own poll
EDIT: I can't make polls
well, this poll is more about the process rather than the reward at the end, or the begging incentive

Its only fun to watch friends fail at it if you are good enough to grab the keyboard and do in like 5 secs what was taking them forever
I would think it would be better to see your friends succeed. If they fail, they call the game crappy and blame you for their failure.
Coding for sure! :F2:

I like to make graphics but I am not really any good. I also love making levels. I could only choose one. Coding cna also be fun at times.

What I like to do and what I'm good at doing are different things.
