send me a pm if you don't want to do it yourself, but are comfortable with us doing it.

There are quite a few 20 event compo games i would love to see on the arcade with high-score boards.

I would mind if you did it without the creators' permission

hence this poll >_>

I've already done a version of Hanuro Hawk with an online scoreboard:
http://www.create-games.com/download.asp?id=8127

It's not in flash or java, but one scoreboard is all that's needed for now. :3 So maybe another time, or maybe if I bother making a compressed/combined special edition.

The poll doesn't show who has voted no or yes though.

Feel free to add highscores and so on to Turbulent Tundra, and stick it on the Arcade.

Cecil's picture

admins can see who voted what. :D

thanks tho. as soon as i get some spare time i will add highscores to turbulent tundra and stick it in the arcade.

No, but I want to correct it, so better leave it like for now and wait for enhanced edition.

For future reference, just tell people about the poll in the news post, and have it at the side. When it gets updated as a note on facebook, it gives all the results.

I'll make it an arcade game with a hi-sco'. But first it needs LOTZ of improvement.

Cecil's picture

lol just so its clear. "No" in the context of this Poll means YES you would NOT MIND if we did it.

Zonacas's picture

no, i don't mind, i think is good idea

Rannug's picture

I think it's a great idea. I would love to not have to download all of the compo games to be able to play them :( .

I really think you should have an Arcade Compo. I would enter that for sure. That would be sweet :D

There was in January.

Cecil's picture

That was a high-score board compo. it didnt get much attention. But maybe we can come up with something fun and small scale that has to do with the arcade. (hint hint im working on adding some new features to the arcade)

Mecha the Slag's picture

honestly I really wouldn't mind at all had it not been because this sounds like you're doing it without the original creator's acceptance which is terrible

you should make an option "yes if you do it without their permission (which is against my morals, and probably some copyrights too)"

Cecil's picture

No one has done anything yet mecha.

The poll in and of itself IS ASKING for the creators' permission. I don't know how you interpreted this as anything otherwise. Notice how you're the only one who assumes the worst.

I will not do anything against anyone's wishes, nor did i ever intend to, but you need to read the rules, which states "The source MFA with all the sounds and graphics will be posted at the conclusion of the contest and its contents can be used for any purpose by the community members". I honestly don't NEED your permission, but I'm asking for it.

Mecha the Slag's picture

well you're not asking the individuals who entered, you're asking everyone. The result doesn't respect the individuals' view on how his game should be used either.

KetchupMaster's picture

the poll asks about "your 20 Event Compo game". not anybody else's.

Jacob's picture

And the admins can see who voted what, which means they know who gave their permission or not.

KlikMaster's picture

I said, YES BACK OFF!
I didn't make a game for the compo, however I was rather drawn to that option.

Cecil's picture

lol

BoxWorks's picture

I didn't participate in the compo, BUT I would like someone to make my game into an arcade game when it's finished! xD

I voted "I didn't participate in the compo but I think this is a good idea", but I think yes, you should give other people the choice to have their game on the arcade or not.
