So I tried downloading lacewing zip file. I extracted the contents of it. There were four folders, but according to a vid I only extract the contents of the mmf2 folder. in it were 2 folders marked "Data" and "extensions" I tried first putting them both in my mmf2 folder that has the stuff downloaded from the disc and all my games in it. That didn't work so I tried putting both folders in the extentions folder that was in the mmf2 folder. It didn't work so i tried putting the contents of the data folder in the data folder that was in the mmf2 folder, and the contents extentions folder in the extentions folder that was in the mmf2 folder. That didn't work either. WHAT DO I DO!?!?!?!!?

the contents of data in the lacewing directory need to go into the data folder in the mmf2 directory. same for the extensions folder.

just copy data and extensions from the lacewing folder into the mmf2 folder. it will tell you these folders already exist and if you want to overwrite any content that is the same within them. say yes. restart mmf2 and lacewing should show up in your extensions list.

you also need the latest version of mmf2. if you arent using at least the version an extension was compiled for then it wont show up.

so I'm confused. You said "and same for the extensions folder" does that mean both go in data or does that mean data in data and extensions in extensions? cause I already tried the second thing. Also, you said to download the latest version of mmf2 but when i tried it says I need to enter the "pathname of the CD-ROM root directory" whats that mean???

the content of data go in data. the contents of extensions goes in extensions.

you need to own MMF2. when you insert the mmf2 install disc into the drive, it shows up on your computer in the cd/dvd drive. the path is its drive letter. cd/dvd is generally the D drive, D:/

*Sigh* ok i did everything you said. The download started and at the end it says it couldn't fully update it because "access to the following file was denied" then it had a list of all this stuff that wasn't allowed access. I checked my firewall and its off so what gives??

WOOOHOOO nvm :D I've figured it out! Turns out my mmf2 was plenty updated. I was just putting the stuff in the wrong mmf2 folder. Horay now I can download those other 7 add-ons I've been trying to download :D
