It's been 20 days since the zombies first appeared. Now, the only important
aspect of your life is survival. Scientifically speaking, the undead can't
live forever unless they continue to feed on humans... or so we hope.
Play one of two scenarios through the eyes of a ZDay survivor. Barricade yourself inside a tiny room and pray that you can last until tomorrow, or run out guns-a-blazing. It's up to you. But the end is near, so you may as well keep score.
Controls:
WASD or arrow keys - Movement (change control scheme in options)
Left Mouse Button - Fire current weapon
Right Mouse Button - Stab with knife (regardless of current weapon)
1 - Change current weapon to pistol
2 - Change current weapon to shotgun

lol excellent - reminds me of COD zombies.
this is nice, if it had a few more guns and levels it'd be really awesome, you could definitely expand on this one and make an awesome game without the 20 event limit.
Awesome. I've always wanted to see a topdown shooter with good graphics that uses Box2D. I definitely want to see more of this! Totally agree with Dave_C.

Good game but there are some flaws : you can hide yourself behind a door an use the knife to not be hurt, no matter the number of zombies. I did more than 50.000 with that, and i could continue ever.
I noticed that, but it takes patience and skill. And it's much more fun to run out guns a blazin'!
I did notice this in one place, but it was only with 30 zombies enabled, as they have a smaller mass then. How many zombies did you have?
I tried to design the levels so that all of the rooms had multiple points of entry and I also made the objects destroyable to try and avoid this. But I didn't want to make doors destroyable too because I thought that they were a pretty integral part of the game.
If I make an expanded version I will definitely sort this out. Try playing with 120 zombies too

It's not like its a freebie like a flamethrower under the stairs in CoD zombies...
All you need to change is to not allow stabbing through doors. It seems odd that you can stab your knife through a door yet it's difficult to shoot over it :/

The second is an example of a loophole. Maybe in the future some pathfinding may be useful?
Mine crashes on the second level whenever I click.

There is pathfinding through waypoints. However, yes that room you found is bad level design. It didn't help that I made it at 9am (having worked on the game from lunchtime the previous day!
). I should have put windows in the room.

I tried to make a youtube video, demonstrating the waypoint following, but the quality turn out horrible. If anyone is interested you can simply turn on "resize display to fill current window size" and then change the game window to a huge resolution such as 3400x1400 pixels. This will allow you to see the whole gamescreen at once, and the zombies following waypoints.
Why doesn't it work in HWA? Is their an incompatible extension?

The licensing was done so that the game couldn't be sold without modifications. I have no problem with people using any of the game's code (or Jess' graphics) for their own projects as long as they credit myself or Jess Bowers.
Awesome game. I don't know why but I like to play games or watch films about zombies. I download lots of such films from shared files SE http://filecraft.com . Maybe I see a challenge here. And I just adore the games, where I can influence the scenario.
I was trying to show this game to my cousins but they don't have MMF2, I think it would be nice to offer an EXE download. (I'd upload one and link it but not sure of liability issues!)

Has anyone ever uploaded your games to satellite tv? I heard that it's an option with dish tv Chicago, I'm just not sure how it would work. I managed to get two of my game creations onto ITumes, so I'm thinking it can't be that difficult. Any ideas?
